Mercedes Schlapp has no easy work as White House adviser for strategic communications. Mercedes Schlapp faces a challenging job in her role as the White House's strategic communications advisor. Friends of Schlapp and Tony Sayegh, one of the other candidates for the post started fighting in the media. Schlapp said that after she learned that the Washington Examiner had published an piece that contained negative remarks about Sayegh's character, she called Sayegh to have a private discussion.
