Nancy O'Dell began her broadcast career as a reporter and anchor at WPDE-TV which was located in Myrtle Beach South Carolina. She then worked as an anchor and morning reporter for WCBD TV. Her articles from Charleston on how Charleston police dealt with DUI cases with leniency led to an inquiry by State Law Enforcement Division. The inquiry led to a stronger directive for state authorities. In the year 2000, Associated Press awarded Ms. O'Dell an award for the Best Report of the year Award to all South Carolina media. Following her work in Charleston O'Dell worked as a anchor and investigative reporter at NBC's Miami station WTVJ-TV prior to her move to Access Hollywood as a weekend anchor and a weekday reporter. Her current position as host of Access Hollywood is complemented by her contributions to NBC News Today, Dateline NBC and NBC News. She was a reporter for events like The Oscars, The Emmys, The Grammys, and The Golden Globe Awards. As well as co-hosting the Pre Show Arrivals to The Emmys & The Golden Globes.
